Akkeshi Marine Station carries out various field courses for undergraduate and graduate students of Hokkaido University and for students in other universities. Since 2012, the station together with Muroran Marine Station have been approved as a Joint Education Center for “Marine biology and ecology in cold-current ecosystem” by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), JAPAN. Stations have started some new programs mostly toward students in other universities in Japan and the world.Click here for more information.
