Theme My research topic is plant breeding of horticultural crops by using biotechnology. I am interested in utilization of plant genetic resources in Hokkaido area. Breeding projects of Haskap (Lonicera caerulea), Rubus spp. and Alstroemeriaceae plants are now in progress.
Moreover, I am interested in analysis of fertilization process in higher plants. By analyzing fertilization process, I try to develop novel breeding procedures.
